The Golden State Warriors are on a five-game winning streak entering their matchup on Wednesday.

All five of their wins have come at home, and they still have three more games in this homestand.

Warriors fans should be thrilled with how the team is playing.

With Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins both sidelined, it seemed like things were headed downhill in Golden State.

Despite their record being below .500 when Curry went out on Dec. 14, they have found ways to right the ship.

One big reason for their recent success has been the play of former All-Star Klay Thompson.

The Splash Brother has stepped up in the absence of Curry and put together a great few weeks.

Over the last 10 games, Thompson is averaging 25.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.

He did that while shooting 39% from three-point range, which is normally low for him but still solid.

The most impressive performance of Thompson’s season came on Monday.

He erupted for 54 points while shooting 10-of-21 from three and 21-of-39 from the field.

The game went into two overtimes before the Warriors won 143-141.

It seems as if Thompson is finally turning into the All-Star we last saw in the 2018-19 season.

Golden State will need this aggressive version of Thompson, even when Curry and Wiggins return.

When he is taking good shots, the Warriors’ offense is much more dangerous.

After missing two full seasons with ACL and Achilles injuries, many wondered if Thompson would ever return to form.

Well, it certainly looks like he is beginning to play the best basketball since his return.

Thompson looks like he is on a mission to prove that he is still one of the best players in the league.

This is the version of Thompson the Warriors need to repeat as NBA champions.
