It's official... Isaiah Thomas has signed his first shoe deal:

Nike has signed Thomas to the brand after at least nine months of contract talks according to Marc Stein. The Celtics' sixth man joins the ranks of NBA stars and legends like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Chris Paul as Nike sponsored athletes.

The 5'9" point guard has definitely earned it after averaging 19 points-per-game with the C's along with 5.4 assists-per-game in 21 appearances. In his career, Thomas has averaged just over 15 PPG and almost 5 APG.

The question now is how Nike will design his first shoe. Will we see a Kelly green shoe to honor his first career playoff berth with Boston, or will he go back to his roots with purple and gold for his time with his college team, the Washington Huskies?

Either way, Isaiah's career has earned him at least one pair of signature shoes and hopefully he'll be rocking them on opening night in the Garden on October 28th against the Sixers.
