LeBron James and the Lakers faced a disappointing loss in the first round of playoffs, as they faced their rivals from last year, the Denver Nuggets. After a five-game series, several questions were raised concerning the Lakers’ future.

This was followed by the franchise firing their entire coaching staff less than a week after the series loss. While the coaches were blamed heavily for the loss, Skip Bayless thinks differently.

The Nuggets didn’t have it easy this year. Not only that, but the Lakers had led for a longer duration throughout the entire series. In the recent episode of Undisputed, Bayless talked about LeBron James’ flaws, defending Darvin Ham from the majority of the blame.

I like Darvin; I like him personally. So maybe I'm leaning a little bit toward 'He didn't deserve this' more than I should but, I don't think he deserved it... Well, it wasn't Darvin's fault that LeBron missed a wide-open three-point shot that could've changed the whole series. Just flipped it on its head in Game 2 at Denver... Well that's not Darvin's fault, LeBron missed a wide open 3-point shot that could have changed the whole series. said Skip Bayless on Undisputed

LeBron James averaged 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 8.8 assists while shooting over 56% from the field during the series. In Game 2, James did miss a crucial shot that could’ve changed the series. Not only that, but the Lakers were leading by as many as 20 points in that particular game. The series was a clear indicator of how teams who know how to end a contest always get the best out of it, regardless of the poor start.

LeBron James is focused on the next objective

With the 2024 Olympics scheduled for July 26th, Team USA will start preparing as soon as the postseason ends. James has already brought two Olympic gold medals back home and is looking to add his third. This time, Team USA has assembled a dangerous squad that will be a threat to each opponent they face in the Olympics.

King James is resting his body for Team USA, as he gets ready to hit the training camp in Vegas following the postseason. LeBron James along with Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and others will be in action, with fans calling this the ‘Dream Team’ of the modern era.

It will be interesting to see James in his last Olympics. Following the same, he will make his decision to either stay in LA or look elsewhere. James has a player option for the 2024-25 season. With multiple factors in place, James might look elsewhere, considering his son, Bronny James’ draft this year.
