The Los Angeles Clippers ended their two-game losing streak after they defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 108-107 on Wednesday night. The game saw James Harden return to Philadelphia for the first time since being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers last November, and there was no love lost between the two sides.
Because of the fallout between him and Philadelphia, Harden was asked about his beef with Daryl Morey. The Beard treated the Philly game as just another day in the office, and after the game, he said that he doesn’t plan to ever mend fences with his former boss.
“No. Hell no,” Harden said about ending his beef with Morey.
“I don’t know, and I don’t care. We have bigger problems than me worried about Philadelphia,” Harden said about his first game back in the City of Brotherly Love via Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.
James Harden was loudly booed at the beginning of the game by the fans at Wells Fargo Arena whenever he had the ball, but the jeering faded as the evening went by. Furthermore, the game’s controversial end was the bigger topic, since it saw Nick Nurse and Kelly Oubre Jr. fuming at the referees.
James Harden got the last word over the Philadelphia 76ers
Earlier this week, James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers suffered a 121-107 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers, which left head coach Ty Lue fuming since it was their fifth loss in their previous eight games.
James Harden had 12 points, 14 assists, and four rebounds on Sunday. However, he only went 5-of-13 from the field and missed all six of his three-point attempts.
The Beard was slightly better last night, as he recorded 16 points, 14 assists, five rebounds, two steals, one block, and three three-pointers while going 6-of-15 from the field.
Kawhi Leonard, who finished with 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks, made the crucial plays down the stretch to secure the victory, as he had two three-point plays late and a huge block on Kelly Oubre Jr. in the final possession of the contest.
