Throughout his Hall of Fame-caliber career, James Harden has suited up for several different teams. While Harden's surroundings have changed, his offensive productivity, sneaker legacy, and loyalty to his alma mater have never wavered.

On Wednesday night, Harden poured in 22 points and 11 assists in the Los Angeles Clippers 131-122 win over the Phoenix Suns. Best of all, the perennial NBA All-Star wore a player-exclusive colorway of his eighth signature sneaker with adidas that paid homage to the Arizona State Sun Devils.

Harden's decision to wear the adidas Harden Vol. 8 in a Sun Devils-inspired colorway was the perfect choice for his homecoming to the Grand Canyon State. The maroon and gold kicks feature "ASU" branding and even got a social media shout-out from his alma mater.

Harden tore up the college basketball landscape during his two seasons with the Sun Devils. As luck would have it, Arizona State partnered with adidas in 2015, the same year Harden signed a signature sneaker deal with the brand. Online shoppers can choose between a wide variety of the school's apparel on the adidas website.

The adidas Harden Vol. 8 officially launches in February for $160 in adult sizes. While the official tech specs remain a mystery, it is safe to assume it will be another quality installment in Harden's signature sneaker line.

Fans should not expect the 'Arizona State Sun Devils' colorway worn last night to be released, as that honor is reserved for student-athletes in Tempe. However, adidas will make up for it with several fire general-release colorways over the next year. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news from the sports world.
