Chicago Bulls' guard/forward Javonte Green suffered a hip pointer injury during the team's Thursday practice. The severity of the injury is unknown as of this writing.

KC Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports that Green missed Friday's non-contact practice. If the injury costs Green time, it would be a huge blow to the Bulls.

Many believed Green would earn the Bulls' starting power forward spot entering the season opener against the Miami Heat. He put together a strong preseason showing and made a damn good case for replacing Patrick Williams in the starting lineup.

In four exhibition games, Javonte Green averaged 15 PPG, 5 RPG, and .8 APG. He shot a staggering 71% from the field and 66% from downtown. The pace he brought to the Chicago Bulls' starting group was exactly what the team needed.
