On Saturday evening, the Boston Celtics are playing the Phoenix Suns in Arizona.

During the game, All-Star forward Jaylen Brown made team history by becoming just the third player to make 1,000 career three-pointers.

Congrats, JB "

Brown came into the evening with averages of 22.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 50.1% from the field and 35.3% from the three-point range in 57 games.

He has helped the Celtics have an excellent season, as they have the best record in the NBA (48-14).

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games but most recently lost to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 115-109 and are in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Brown was brilliant and put up 41 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and two steals while shooting 16/29 from the field in 41 minutes of playing time.

Following the Suns, the Celtics will play their next game on Monday evening when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers.

Brown was the third pick in the 2016 NBA Draft out of Cal and is in his eighth season in the league (all with Boston).

He has career averages of 18.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 48.0% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range in 527 regular season games.
