The Boston Celtics announced good news on Wednesday when they Tweeted out that All-Star Jaylen Brown will play in the team's first game of the season against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday evening.

The Tweet from the Celtics can be seen embedded below.

The Celtics Tweet said:" #NEBHInjuryReport update: Jaylen Brown will play in tonight’s season-opener at MSG. Coach Udoka says Jaylen looks “impressively fine” from a physical standpoint considering how he’s only been out of isolation for a short time."

Brown had been out for an extended period after testing positive for COVID-19.

The Celtics will need a big season from Brown, because at the end of last year he missed the rest of the season with wrist surgery.

The Celtics still made the playoffs led by All-Star Jayson Tatum, but lost in the first round to the Brooklyn Nets, and did not stand any chance losing in just five games.

Both Brown and Tatum for one of the best duos in all of the NBA.
