Jazz PG Mike Conley to miss Game 2 vs. Clippers with hamstring strain

The Utah Jazz defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 112-109 in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals on Tuesday night without the services of point guard Mike Conley, who has been dealing with a right hamstring strain for over a week.

Utah will hope for a repeat performance Thursday night.

Per ESPN and other outlets, the Jazz ruled Conley out for Thursday's Game 2 due to what's being referred to as a "mild" hamstring strain.

Conley, named an All-Star for the first time of his career earlier this year, suffered this latest setback in the first-round series-clinching victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on June 2 and hasn't been the same since. He was limited in practice Monday and missed Tuesday's win over the Clippers.

There remains no definitive timetable for when the 33-year-old may return to the rotation, and it's assumed he'll be questionable moving forward even if he's able to play this series.

Conley missed nine games in late April and May because of a previous right hamstring ailment and was out for six contests in February due to a similar issue. He averaged 16.2 points, 6.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 51 regular-season games ahead of the playoffs.
