Jazz request permission to interview Heat assistant Chris Quinn for HC position

It's been less than a week since Quin Snyder resigned as head coach of the Utah Jazz, but the search for his replacement has already begun to ramp up.

Several candidates have emerged for the Jazz job, with former Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel and Utah assistant Lamar Skeeter the most recent names mentioned.

However, the list continues to grow.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Jazz requested permission to interview Miami Heat assistant Chris Quinn for its head coaching vacancy.

Quinn, 38, has spent eight seasons working under head coach Erik Spoelstra in Miami.

The longest-tenured assistant on Spoelstra's staff, Quinn filled in as head coach for three games this season.

Quinn played six years in the NBA for the Heat, New Jersey Nets, San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers. After playing 241 career NBA games, Quinn moved to the coaching ranks, starting with the Heat's player development department in 2014.
