No one in the league possesses self-confidence like Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler does. Despite being sidelined during the first round due to an injury, the star has never doubted his team’s winning abilities. Recently, a video was posted on X where Butler confidently claimed that the Heat would have made it to the next round if he was healthy.

The Miami Heat had to end their postseason in just five games, as the team lost to the Boston Celtics 1-4 in the first round. However, according to Jimmy Butler, things would have been quite the opposite if the star had been a part of the roster. With Boston, the player also took the New York Knicks down.

If I was playing, Boston would be at home. New York damn sure would be at home...Josh Hart, come on man Jimmy Butler on X

Both these Eastern Conference teams have advanced to the next round of playoffs. Butler’s statement did raise some eyebrows but there is some truth in his claim. With Butler, the team would have been better at the defensive end making it hard for the scorers of Boston. The forward would have also extended the series for more than just five games.

However, claiming to eliminate both the Celtics and the Knicks is a bit far-fetched. Celtics has the best record in the NBA, while the Knicks dominated the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round. To defeat two of the top teams in the East while being on the 8th seed is without a doubt a difficult job.

Josh Hart hilariously reacted to Jimmy Butler’s claim to eliminate the Knicks

As Butler roasted the Celtics and Knicks, New York’s Josh Hart caught a stray. During Butler’s claim in the video, Hart’s was the only name that was dropped by the 34-year-old. The video left Hart confused as Butler never had any negative history with the Knicks’ star.

Hart is famous for his humor and led-back attitude among the Knicks fans. Therefore, the star had a hilarious response as he simply dropped the famous 50 Cent meme on Instagram for getting dragged into the trolling. The player’s reaction quickly went viral on social media leaving fans in splits.

Now, Butler will get to prove his claim directly in the next season. However, the star’s future with the Heat is uncertain as there are rumors of a potential trade. But regardless of the team, the forward is expected to have a much better performance next year coming out of injury.
