Joel Embiid leads 76ers past Bucks with 42 points, 14 rebounds

Joel Embiid bolstered his MVP campaign Thursday by leading the Philadelphia 76ers past the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks for a 123-120 win with 42 points, 14 rebounds and five assists.

Embiid, 27, has now scored at least 30 points in 26 of his 46 games this season. It was also his ninth game with at least 40 points and 10 rebounds.

On the other side, two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 32 points, nine assists and 11 rebounds.

It's a huge bounce-back result for Philadelphia two days after a 135-87 loss to the Boston Celtics on Tuesday. The 76ers were still without James Harden, who has been ruled out until after the All-Star break due to a hamstring injury.

The win moved the 76ers to 35-23 on the year, while the Bucks fell to 36-24. Both teams are 2.5 games behind the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference standings.
