J.R. Smith didn't bring enough underwear to the NBA bubble

Packing for a trip can be a nerve-racking experience. And no matter how many times you check through your luggage to make sure you packed everything, you're pretty much guaranteed to discover you forgot your toothbrush or phone charger once you reach your destination.

This situation is especially stressful if you are heading into a quarantine bubble for the next several months, which is exactly what happened to J.R. Smith, who was asked about what he wishes he would have packed more of during an interview with Spectrum Sports. Smith did not hesitate with his answer.

"Man, more underwear and socks," Smith said. "Honestly, I packed like seven because I thought I’d be good for once a day. But I ain’t calculate all the showers in between everything that I be doing, so I’ve been running through in like two, three days."

This may seem like a classic case of absent-mindedness from Smith, but given the fact that we have all been in quarantine for four months, it's an understandable mistake. After all, it's not like Smith had been going to multiple practices recently, so it would be easy to underestimate how much underwear you need. Fortunately, Smith has found a solution.

"We’ve got a great laundry system, though," Smith said. "We’ve got a great laundry system, so I’m good."

Even with the great laundry, hopefully, Smith is able to get a hold of some more underwear without having to borrow a pair from LeBron or one of his other Lakers' teammates. But whatever happens to him, this is an important lesson for all of us: you can never ever pack too much underwear.
