Kent Bazemore on Bradley Beal Twitter attack: 'I guess you can't joke anymore'

Kent Bazemore found himself the subject of a Twitter attack from Bradley Beal after making comments about the Wizards guard hurting his hamstring while trying to "keep up" with Steph Curry for the scoring title.

After the Warriors win over the Jazz on Monday night, Bazemore was asked about his growing feud with Beal and he said his comments weren't meant to be taken seriously. However, he made it clear that he remained loyal to his Golden State teammate.

"I guess you can't joke anymore," Bazemore said. "I don't say things to ruffle feathers, but ... if you want to know what my loyalty is, it's to [Curry]. Anyone out there chasing him, it's gonna be tough."

Beal (31.4 ppg) and Curry (31.9 ppg) are currently locked in a tight battle for the scoring title with only a few games left in the season. However, Beal has been sidelined through Wednesday due to a hamstring injury. Over the weekend, Bazemore made a joke about Beal's injury while praising Curry.

"Forty-nine points in 29 minutes, though, that's unreal," Bazemore told reporters about Curry's performance. "Then we got guys hurting hamstrings, trying to keep up. So, y'all gotta do some research on that."

In response, Beal took to Twitter, where he called out Bazemore in a series of tweets, calling him a clown and telling him to "shut yo a-- up."
