Throughout his career, Russell Westbrook has always been known as someone who gave everything on both ends of the floor. The superstar point guard's athleticism and energy have been respected across the league.

Los Angeles Lakers wing Kent Bazemore has recently lauded Russell Westbrook's energy and claimed that it will be "pivotal" for the Lakers during the long regular season. Sometimes there are games that can get lethargic over the course of the season, but Bazemore stated that "Russ storming down the middle with a dunk" would be able to get the Los Angeles Lakers going in those situations. Sanjesh Singh of LeBron Wire relayed the news.

Russ an animal, he’s an animal in every sense of the word, just an absolute beast. The force he plays with, the swagger he brings to the team when he’s on the floor, all those things. His energy is infectious, and feeding off of it is amazing. I think he’s going to be an absolute force for us all season.”

“The energy he brings every night is going to be pivotal for us with the long season. Maybe some nights we’ll be in a city, low energy and here comes Russ storming down the middle with a dunk to get us going. That’s kind of the intangibles he has as a player, as a person that is going to help us a lot this year.

There is no doubt that Russell Westbrook's intensity is a constant in every game, even during the regular season. He was able to bring subpar rosters to the playoffs before, and him approaching every game with that intensity was certainly a key part of him being able to do that.

Now though, Russell Westbrook is on the Los Angeles Lakers, alongside two other stars in Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis. As a result of Westbrook getting traded to the Lakers, some believe that they are the favorites for the 2022 NBA championship. We'll have to wait and see whether that will actually become a reality, but on paper, the Los Angeles Lakers have the star power to win another title.
