Kevin Durant booed at EuroLeague playoff game

Kevin Durant has a lot of fans around the world. Apparently, Greek basketball fans aren't among them.

Durant found that out the hard way on Wednesday when he attended a Game 5 EuroLeague playoff matchup between Olympiacos Piraeus and AS Monaco in Piraeus, Greece -- and was met with a healthy serving of jeers.

It is presumed Durant was booed because he was there in support of former teammate Mike James and was seen cheering for James in Game 4. According to 95.7 The Game in San Francisco, KD was also spotted cheering during Game 4 when an Olympiacos player missed the potential game-winning shot.

While the crowd in Greece wasn't particularly pleased to see him, it can't be ignored what a massive deal it was to have one of the best players in the game at an international event.

Durant also made headlines this week for becoming a minority owner of Gotham FC of the NWSL. The Brooklyn Nets star is already a partial owner of the Philadelphia Union, part of Major League Soccer.
