Kevin Durant will wait until deal is 'finalized' to discuss reuniting with James Harden

How does Kevin Durant feel about James Harden being traded to the Nets? Durant said he would hold off on sharing his thoughts about reuniting with his old roommate until the deal is officially done.

"I'll wait till the deal's finalized to talk about it," Durant told ESPN after the Nets' 116-109 win over the New York Knicks.

On paper, the Nets look like they could have one of the most lethal offensive attacks in NBA history, as Durant and Harden are both elite scorers who have also won MVPs in their careers. And on top of that, they will have Kyrie Irving as point guard, assuming he decides to show up for work at some point. If the trio clicks, they could run an unstoppable offense that would embarrass any team they play.

But, of course, there are concerns about this dream team quickly turning into a nightmare due to chemistry issues or lack of depth. Irving, Harden, and even Durant have all had their moments of seemingly putting their own feelings ahead of what is best for the team and with only so much ball to go around, it seems inevitable that at some point this season one of them will throw a tantrum when they aren't getting as many shots as they'd like.

As for depth, the main issue for the Nets is that by trading away Jarrett Allen in order to acquire Harden, the team has almost no option at center beyond DeAndre Jordan, who is averaging less than 20 minutes per game so far this season. Perhaps the Harden-Kyrie-Durant trio will be so good it does not matter, but trying to match-up against Giannis or Anthony Davis could prove difficult.
