One of the biggest NBA stories of the past week was LeBron James’ run-in with Detroit Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart.

Their altercation prompted not only a response from James’ Los Angeles Lakers teammates like Russell Westbrook, but also from former teammates like Kyle Kuzma and totally unaffiliated parties like Brooklyn Nets big man Blake Griffin.

Some came away from James’ run-in with Stewart with the impression that he didn’t want any drama and was a little scared of it.

NBA legend Kevin Garnett appeared on Barstool Sports’ "Million Dollaz Worth of Game" podcast this week and addressed that idea:

“I wanted to see who was made of what,” he said of his own run-ins with James. “A lot of people don’t know that Bron James, he don’t say it loud, but he’ll s--t talk back to you. Bron a real one.”

Say what you will about James, but it seems like his competitors respect his ferociousness. To hear them talk about it — he isn’t scared of anyone. Boston Celtics big man Enes Kanter learned that lesson the hard way a couple of weeks back.

Hopefully Garnett’s testimonial will officially put an end to the ridiculous notion that James is somehow soft.
