On Saturday evening, the Miami Heat  are hosting the Chicago Bulls in Florida.  

During the game, Kevin Love made NBA History by becoming the 39th player to make 1,600 three-pointers.   

He also moved ahead of Kyrie Irving (1,602) for 38th on the all-time three-pointers list

Following Irving, the next player for Love to pass will be Trevor Ariza (1,605).

Love came into the evening with averages of 8.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 40.5% from the field and 34.0% from the three-point range in 19 games. 

The Heat are 14-11 in their first 25 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. 

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Bulls (also in Florida) by a score of 124-116. 

In 22 minutes of playing time, Love had 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 5/12 from the field and 3/8 from the three-point range. 

Following the Bulls, the Heat will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.  

They are 6-5 in the 11 games they have played at home in Miami. 

Love is in his 16th season in the NBA and has also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves.  

His career averages are 16.8 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest while shooting 43.8% from the field and 36.9% from the three-point range in 893 regular season games.  

He has also appeared in 83 NBA playoff games and helped the Cavs win the 2016 NBA Championship.
