Kevin Love was LeBron James' teammate during LBJ's second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers and a big part of the team that brought a championship to the city after half a century. The two were teammates for 4 seasons and so Love got to know LeBron and his habits quite well. His recent revelation when it comes to LeBron might not be one that James appreciates very much though.

James is one of the wealthiest athletes in the world, he is the highest-earning athlete in 2022, according to Sportico. His net worth is estimated to be around $500 million and it continues to grow every year. However, James isn't quite the high spender that someone of his resources might be expected to be, in fact, according to Love, he doesn't even use data roaming when he's outside the country.

Talking about it during an interview with Taylor Rooks, Love explained that LBJ would just wait to use the WiFi whenever the team went to Toronto to play games, with the implication being that he didn't want to spend the money that using data on roaming charges would cost.

“Oh, yeah, I’ve seen that a million times in Toronto. They talk about wealth and all that, like, sometimes it’s the things you don’t see. And for him, it’s like, if we’re in Toronto, right? That drive from the airport and going through customs to then getting to our hotel, yeah, there’s no data used at all. He’s waiting for the Wi-Fi all the time.

“I can appreciate it, I gotta say it’s not like I’m mad at it but I’m like, ‘C’mon, Bron, like, seriously? It’s Wi-Fi.’ Maybe it’s good to get away from your phone for a minute but, I don’t know, it’s just, roaming. I don’t know."

While it is ridiculous to think about the fact that someone as wealthy as LeBron would worry about data charges, it's also quite inspirational in a way. James has spoken in the past about wanting to own an NBA team, and his desire to grow his wealth enough to reach that point seemingly manifests itself even in the smallest of ways.
