Last month, Goran Dragic announced his retirement from professional basketball. Throughout his career, Dragic played for the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, and Milwaukee Bucks.

Per Sports Klub, the one-time All-Star selection announced that he is organizing a farewell event in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

"I am looking forward to the project. It will take place on August 23 and 24, 2024. I wanted it to take place in Ljubljana, where I grew up and where I am at home. I also wanted to bring all the stars I played with.”

Dragic revealed some of the former teammates and coaches that be involved in the event: "Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Luis Scola, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jimmy Butler, Jeff Hornacek, Kevin McHale, Steve Nash..."

Kevin McHale was the head coach of the Houston Rockets during Dragic’s final year playing in Houston. During the 2011-2012 regular season, the Slovenia native averaged 11.7 points and 5.3 assists per game.

McHale was a power forward for the Boston Celtics from 1980 to 1993. The seven-time All-Star won three NBA championships during his playing career. He later went on to coach the Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
