Getting another start on Tuesday night, Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski played just 16 minutes vs. the Boston Celtics before being sidelined for the rest of the game with what the team announced is a lower back strain.

This is a big blow for the Warriors, because Podziemski has emerged as a key player for them who earned a starting lineup spot over Andrew Wiggins. With Steph Curry in foul trouble, the absence of Podziemski was even more significant for Golden State.

Having dealt with injuries to different key players so far this season, the Warriors have been trying to stay afloat in a very competitive Western Conference. Once a consistent force atop the West, the Warriors have been struggling to stay in the playoff picture for most of this season.

Having to rely on youth much more this season than in any year since their dynasty began, the Warriors have begun trusting players like Podziemski, which makes this injury concerning. As of right now, the extent of what the Warriors have announced on Podziemski's injury is that it is a lower back strain that will keep him out the rest of the game.

Always transparent with injuries, the Warriors will likely announce a more official and detailed update on Podziemski once they have more information in the next couple of days.
