Tristan Thompson is with the Chicago Bulls but it's not his contributions on the court that have made a lot of news in recent times, but his earlier involvement with Khloe Kardashian. Thompson's relationship with the Kardashian is very well-publicized and during the time they were together, his indiscretions away from the woman that is the mother of his child were widely reported as well.

While there may be several reasons for the two to have issues since they are no longer together, it seems the NBA star still holds a special place in the heart of the TV star. She recently spoke about their equation now and what it means to her, especially about his parenting of their daughter, True Thompson (via Clutch Points).

“It’s sad because, like, there’s so many good sides to him as well, but no one gets to see those ’cause they’re all overshadowed by, like, the personal stuff that’s going on between him and I,” Kardashian said in a recent podcast appearance.

“I want everyone to still have, like, a fair shot at just being happy and having a good life. So I don’t ever encourage anyone to just, like, jump on that bandwagon, but I also think people can have their own feelings and do what they want, but he’s always going to be in my life because of True, and he’s a great dad, and that’s all I really need to focus on is just his relationship with True.”

Thompson got roasted by NBA fans for a few of his performances with the Bulls this season, notably a poor pre-game shooting display, but it is heartwarming to see him be a good father off the court despite the constant media spotlight that he and indeed, Khloe Kardashian, find themselves under. At 31, Thompson's NBA career should be far from over but he has a lot to do to prove himself on the basketball court once again.
