Kings guard De'Aaron Fox to miss 10-14 days in health and safety protocol

Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox has been placed in the NBA's health and safety protocol and will miss the next 10-14 days, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

The Kings entered the weekend five games behind the Golden State Warriors for the final play-in spot in the Western Conference.

Sacramento will play Golden State on Sunday in a big game without Fox, who leads the team in points, assists and steals. The 23-year-old had played in 58 out of 59 games for the Kings before entering protocol, averaging 25.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game while shooting 47.7% from the field and 32.2% from deep.

With Fox sidelined, rookie Tyrese Haliburton should see more playing time. He is averaging 12.6 points this season, mainly coming off the bench.
