The Sacramento Kings have had their fair share of struggles this season, losing to multiple bottom-tiered teams in the league. Despite the unbearable losses, the Kings have oddly dominated the defending champion Denver Nuggets, winning all three matchups this season. On Wednesday, the Nuggets will look to break the streak while defending their home court.
The Kings have faced the Nuggets twice in their last seven games, one being a massive road win heading into the All-Star break. Sacramento has the opportunity to sweep the season series against the defending champs, giving the Kings a possible momentum boost with 25 games remaining until the playoffs.
The Kings must face three of the top four Western Conference teams over a four-game span, all on the road. After defeating the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, the Kings could gain some necessary traction if they can disrupt Denver on Wednesday and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

After missing just one of his last 49 games, Kings star De'Aaron Fox is back on the Injury Report with a left knee contusion. Fox appeared to tweak his knee in Monday's loss to the Miami Heat, but after playing through it, the star point guard looked like himself by the end of the fourth quarter.
Fox has been on a tear since the All-Star break, averaging 29.3 points, 7.3 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.7 steals per game, as the Kings have won two of three. If Fox has to be sidelined for Wednesday's matchup in Denver, the Kings would desperately need big games from Keegan Murray and Malik Monk to fill his offensive output.
The big-man battle between Domantas Sabonis and Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic has been exciting this year, even when the two are not playing against each other. Sabonis took the triple-double crown away from Jokic and has run away with it, leading the league with 21, compared to Jokic's 18. In his last 13 games, Sabonis has averaged 20.5 points, 15.2 rebounds, and 10.2 assists, shooting 64.4% from the field.
If Fox is good to go for Wednesday, fans will be in for a fairly healthy, electric matchup.
