The Kings are signing forward Juan Toscano-Anderson to a one-year contract, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Toscano-Anderson, 30, is 6-foot-6 and has played four seasons in the NBA, with stints on the Warriors, Lakers, and Jazz. In 191 career games, he has averaged 4.3 points (50.6% FG), 3.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 16.1 minutes of playing time per game throughout his career.

This summer Toscano-Anderson became a free agent, and despite being worked out by his former team the Warriors, he remained unsigned.

As a result, he took his talents to the G-League, appearing in 11 games while playing with the Mexico City Capitanes; Toscano-Anderson averaged 19.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.0 blocks. To point out, former NBA players Kenneth Faried and Michael Carter-Williams are also members of the Capitanes, who have a 8-5 record.

After playing well in the G League, Toscano-Anderson finds a new home in Sacramento as he fills the final open roster spot on the Kings, who currently hold the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

Kings coach Mike Brown reportedly had interest in signing Toscano-Anderson, as they have history together on the Warriors, when Brown was an assistant coach. Notably, the Oakland native was drafted by Golden State and won a ring, alongside Brown, with the team during the 2021-22 season.
