The Knicks have waived two-way small forward Feron Hunt, the team announced in a press release.

As we relayed here, Hunt’s spot will be filled by shooting guard DaQuan Jeffries, who is signing a two-way deal of his own.

Hunt, 23, is 6-foot-8 and appeared in two games, failing to score. He originally signed a contract with the Mavericks in August 2021, but was waived a few months later.

Eventually, he wound up on a 10-day contract with the Pelicans in late December. But he was not re-signed once that deal expired.

Hunt then latched on with the Knicks in March, when he signed a two-way deal. That lasted until Tuesday. He very well could be headed for the Westchester Knicks of the G League next, assuming he clears NBA waivers.
