Cook initially went undrafted in 2015 after an excellent four-year college career at Duke.

During the 2015 season, he helped the Blue Devils win the NCAA Championship over Wisconsin.

He eventually made the NBA in 2017 and played part of five seasons for the Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks (in addition to the Lakers and Cavs).

During his second season, Cook became a significant role player for the Warriors, and averaged 9.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 44.2% from the three-point range in 33 games (18 starts).

He played in 17 playoff games that season and helped the Warriors defeat LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the NBA Championship.

Cook has career averages of 6.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while shooting 46.1% from the field and 40.8% from the three-point range in 188 regular season games.

He has played in 40 total NBA playoff games and was also with the Lakers when they won the 2020 title.
