Lakers’ Austin Reaves addresses Taylor Swift dating rumors

For all the Los Angeles Lakers fans who also consider themselves to be "Swifties," there's some bad news you may want to buckle up for.

While it's been a busy offseason for the Lakers guard Austin Reaves, headlined by a new contract extension and the likelihood of a larger role offensively for the team in 2023-24, unfortunately, one thing that hasn't occupied his time is dating Taylor Swift.

Reaves joined Showtime Basketball's "All The Smoke" with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson recently. Among the many topics he discussed was a rumor that he had started dating Swift, which he denied.

"I have never met her; I've never talked to her ... not true," Reaves said.

Jackson proceeded to ask if Reaves was interested in Swift, to which the Lakers guard responded (with a smile), "I'm going to stay out of the media."

Here's a look at the clip, which certainly didn't disappoint.

Reaves' appearance on the show was loaded with interesting topics, including intel into how he landed with the Lakers after essentially turning down being drafted by the Detroit Pistons. They also discussed things such as LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and much more.
