Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham told NBA reporters that Cam Reddish is expected to play against the Philadelphia 76ers on March 22.

Reddish has missed the past four games with an ankle injury.

Reddish is in his first season with the Lakers. He’s averaging 6.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 40 games while shooting 40.6% from the field, 34.3% from beyond the arc and 77.1% from the free-throw line.

The Lakers are 37-32 on the season. They are in ninth place in the Western Conference standings. All signs point toward Los Angeles facing the Golden State Warriors in the 9-10 play-in tournament game.

Reddish has career averages of 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists with the Atlanta Hawks, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers and Lakers. The small forward was the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Duke.

The Lakers are ninth in the NBA in points per game and 23rd in points per game allowed. They are coming off a win versus the Hawks.

“There’s a couple of new wrinkles we want to do on both sides of the ball and we’ll get a chance to look at,” Ham said. “… No matter what’s happening around the league, or around the positioning with our team, if we don’t, again, try to be the best version of ourselves and take care of our own business, nothing else will matter.”

The Lakers beat the Warriors in the second round of the 2023 playoffs in six games and lost to the Denver Nuggets in the conference finals in four games.
