The Los Angeles Lakers shared footage on social media Wednesday night in which LeBron James and Anthony Davis are showcased conducting both on- and off-court workouts.

In the video, James and Davis are seen greeting one another before transitioning to the weight room and then hitting the court for some shots.

It merits noting that Davis is shown sporting a face mask in the above video when entering the workout session, something the Lakers felt compelled to share in a subsequent social media dispatch that doubled as a public service announcement.

Heading into the NBA restart tentatively scheduled for July 30 in Orlando, Fla. at the Walt Disney World Resort’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the Lakers boast a Western Conference-best 49-14 record, 5.5 games clear of the Clippers.

With an abbreviated eight-game conclusion to the regular season on the docket before moving on to postseason play, chances are the Lakers will retain the West’s top seed. Further, given the presence of both James, Davis and a capable supporting cast that now includes a blast from LeBron’s past from his days in Cleveland, the Lakers currently stand as the odds-on favorite of winning the NBA title.

Expect the Lakers and the other 21 teams participating in the NBA’s restart to start kicking things into high gear with less than a month left to prepare. While it’s certainly encouraging for the Lakers that both James and Davis look to be in good health and great shape, arguably the most compelling aspect of the footage shared by the Lakers?

James’ epic quarantine beard without question.
