The Indiana Pacers are 15-25 on the year and sit 13th in the Eastern Conference.

For all intents and purposes, their season is over.

Rather than building up a legitimate playoff contender, the front office’s focus has now shifted towards unloading assets and ensuring maximum return in any prospective trade.

One player who is almost certainly getting dealt before February’s NBA Trade Deadline is big man Myles Turner.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, four teams are making a serious push for Turner’s service.

Those teams: the Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks.

“Rival NBA teams are ramping up conversations with the Pacers involving guard Caris LeVert and center Myles Turner,” he wrote.

“The Mavericks and Knicks are expressing interest in trading for Turner, sources said. The Lakers and Hornets have had a level of interest in Turner as well, sources added.”

This is not the first time LA has been linked to Turner. It happened a few weeks back as well, but nothing ultimately came to fruition. Same with the Knicks. It will be interesting to see if anything changes this time around. Charlotte would also be an interesting fit for Turner.

The combination of Luka Doncic and Turner on the Mavs sounds intriguing in theory, but so did the tandem of Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. And we all know how that union ultimately turned out.

One way or another, Turner is on the move. The Pacers have made their asking price clear, and now it’s just a matter of who can meet it.

Will it be one of the Lakers, Knicks, Hornets or Mavericks? Time will tell.
