The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Indiana Pacers in overtime on Wednesday night 124-116.

It was a memorable game, largely overshadowed by LeBron James’ decision to get two Pacers fans ejected from the proceedings.

Initially James caught flak for the move, but when it came out what the fans had said, all sympathy for them immediately vanished.

After the game, James spoke to the media and touched on another delicate matter: the altercation with Detroit Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart that earned him a suspension earlier this week.

“What happened is: it was a box out on the free-throw line, his elbow got me off balance a little bit,” he said.

“I tried to swim move down on his arm, the left side of my hand grazed his face. I knew right away…I went over to apologize to him, and you guys see what happened after that. Definitely accidental…definitely not that type of player. I hated to see that, what escalated after that.”

At this point, everyone from Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma to Brooklyn Nets big man Blake Griffin has weighed in on that little squabble, so it’s good that James finally weighed in with his thoughts on the matter.

Now that the dust has settled, suspensions have been served and all the necessary information is out there – hopefully everyone involved can just move on with their lives.
