The Golden State Warriors had a hard night against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday, losing to the purple and gold, 97-128 at the Chase Center. The Dubs were ready to surprise their California rivals but things didn’t click for them.

LeBron James and co. led the Lakers to the win, recording a triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. They made it look so easy and LeBron’s performance was the biggest proof of that. Moreover, he starred in a very interesting sequence with rookie Nico Mannion, setting a screen and letting him know he’s playing with the big boys now.

The video shows LeBron going at the player almost like he didn’t want to do it and Mannion really felt the impact of running into one of the strongest players in the league. The 20-year-old never faced a player like this and he probably never crashed with a 250-pound screen.

In the end, he finished the game with 10 points, 4 assists, and a big hit by LeBron. He wasn’t nutmegged or dunked on, his ‘welcome to the NBA’ moment came against the best player in the world, displaying how strong he can be to set up his teammates to score points.
