LeBron James gets the highest form of praise from Lakers teammate

While there's no questioning the legacy and overall talent of LeBron James, recent comments from Los Angeles Lakers teammate Austin Reaves were noteworthy for a different reason. Reaves was asked about James during a recent appearance on Showtime Basketball's 'All The Smoke' with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson and his answer did not disappoint.

The kicker in this, though, is that Barnes asked Reaves about LeBron James as a person, not as a player. He had nothing but high praise and specifically talked about the type of person James is while also joking that the four-time NBA MVP "acts like a damn kid."

"He acts like a damn kid. He acts like he's like 18, I've never really seen him in a bad mood. He's always joking, laughing, having a good time. And someone that you put on a pedestal, because he's done what he's done, for him to just be so personable — you can talk to him about anything, you can have good conversations with him, you can joke around. The best thing about him is he comes to work every day happy," Reaves said of LeBron.

Reaves joined the Lakers in 2021 as an undrafted free agent, so he's seen James during a tough time in 2021-22, when the team went 33-49 after the future Hall-of-Fame dealt with some terrible timing on injuries late in the season. He's also been front-and-center as a teammate playing next to James when the Lakers had a pivotal final stretch of the year to push to the No. 7 seed in the West before making it to the Western Conference Finals.
