LeBron James: I would have made Cowboys or Seahawks if I tried out

LeBron James could have had a career in the NFL if he really wanted to. The Los Angeles Lakers star was a tremendous receiver at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio and although he didn't play college football, he apparently had some NFL offers.

James has previously acknowledged his opportunities to try out for NFL teams during the NBA's 2011 lockout, but in a recent interview with The Athletic, the four-time NBA champion said he believes he would've made either the Seattle Seahawks or Dallas Cowboys rosters if he tried out.

"I would have made the team," James said. "I would have tried out, but I would have made the team.

"One thing about it, I don't mind working for something, so if I would have had to try out for the Cowboys or the Seahawks, or if I'd have stayed home and went back home to Cleveland, I'd have tried [out], but I would have made the team. I just know what I'm capable of doing on the football field. Especially at that age."

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones invited James to try out for the team, while Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll sent him an invitation along with a custom jersey.

James said he seriously considered the offer from Jones, but his friends and advisors talked him out of it. Of course, he went on to win two NBA titles with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013, the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and the Lakers last year.
