LeBron James, Kevin Durant named NBA All-Star Game captains
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant were named captains for next month's NBA All-Star Game on Thursday night.
James and Durant will pick their teams from the remaining 22 All-Stars after getting the most votes of any player in either conference.
The duo will be joined by Nikola Jokic, Kawhi Leonard, Anthony Davis, Paul George, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum and Jimmy Butler in the frontcourts. Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Zach LaVine and Jaylen Brown make up the backcourts.
The remaining All-Star spots will be determined by the coaches from both conferences. Utah Jazz bench boss Quin Snyder will coach James' team and either Steve Nash or Doc Rivers will coach Durant's team.
The All-Star Game will take place on March 7 in Atlanta despite backlash from many players around the league due to COVID-19.
