Former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Nick Young, who won an NBA championship in 2018 with the Golden State Warriors, is now vying for a title yet again.

The 6'7" swingman out of USC's Big3 club, the Enemies, vanquished the Trilogy in the 3-on-3 competition from Ice Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz today, 50-37. The league's playoffs comprises two rounds, a final four and a championship game proper.

Jordan Crawford, Isaiah Austin, Elijah Stewart and Quincy Miller round out the rest of the Enemies alongside Young. The team is coached by ex-Washington Wizards All-Star point guard Gilbert Arenas.

Young spent four of his seven NBA seasons with the Lakers, from 2013-17, during the club's post-playoffs era. Across 220 regular season contests with Los Angeles, he averaged 13.1 points on .405/.377/.846 shooting splits, 2.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.6 steals in that time.

Young himself didn't exactly contribute anything to his club's winning effort (Jordan Crawford paced the Enemies with a game-high 27 points), but here's hoping he's more available next weekend, in the final against the Triplets, led by seven-time NBA All-Star wing Joe Johnson on the hardwood and coached by former Los Angeles Sparks great Lisa Leslie.

The final game will be played in London's O2 Arena next week next Saturday, August 26th.
