Even though they are no longer teammates, Lonzo Ball and LeBron James appears to be on good terms. Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Lonzo Ball and LeBron James were briefly teammates together on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Somewhere along the way, relatively quickly, it became readily apparent that they would not win a title together. As a result, Ball was shipped off to the New Orleans Pelicans in the package that sent Anthony Davis in L.A.

Fortunately for both players, it appears as though that hasn’t damaged the relationship between Ball and James.

In fact, they appear to have a pretty strong bond.

During an episode of ‘Who’s Interviewing Who’ Ball got very honest about the best advice James ever gave him.

“I think the best advice I got was from LeBron so far, he sat me down one time in the locker room. Obviously, he’s been through everything, he kinda knew all the crazy stuff I was going through when I first got to the league and he told me ‘Keep the main thing, the main thing’.

“That probably stuck with me the most. Once you take care of what you got to take care of on the court, the everything falls into place.”

Ball’s positive comments about James have led many to speculate that a reunion between the two may be in the future.

It remains to be seen how viable that actually is, however.

Currently, one team is very much in the hunt for Ball’s services – and it isn’t the Lakers.

If that changes, however, particularly considering Dennis Schroder’s precarious status with the Lakers, don’t be surprised if Ball to L.A. suddenly becomes a much more talked-about option.
