The Dallas Mavericks extended their winning streak to three games with a 127-92 thumping of the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, and although Luka Doncic saw his league-record streak of 30-point triple-doubles end, he still recorded his seventh consecutive triple-double and made some team history as well.

Doncic finished with 27 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists while shooting 9-23 from the field and 6-15 in 34 minutes. With his fourth made 3, Doncic passed Mavs legend Jason Terry for second on Dallas' all-time 3-pointers made list. Doncic now has 1,143 made 3s in his career, which is 839 shy of Dirk Nowitzki's all-time franchise record.

With 17 games remaining in the season, Doncic is averaging a league-high 34.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 9.9 assists while shooting 49.5 percent from the field and 38.0 percent from deep.

The Mavs are now 37-28 on the season, closing in on the sixth-seed in the Western Conference standings. If Dallas can avoid the Play-In Tournament, Doncic might have a real chance to win his first league MVP award.

"It's my best season for sure," Doncic said on Saturday night. "But I've still got a lot to improve. ... [The triple-double streak is] good, as long as we get the win. We got two wins now in a row, so we've got to keep going like that."
