Forward Jonathan Isaac has been an inspirational story for the Magic, having come back this season following a major knee injury.
But Isaac may no longer fit with the Magic’s long-term goals, it seems. So Orlando very well could look into what type of return they may get for him this offseason, per Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report.
Isaac, 25, is 6-foot-11 and first suffered the ACL injury during the 2020 Disney bubble. He finally was able to suit up again this season, but appeared in just 11 games, averaging 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds.
So it’s hard to know what his future holds. It’s definitely hard to see him fitting in along with the likes of power forward and reigning Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero, forward Franz Wagner and even center Wendell Carter Jr.
And let’s not forget, the Magic are set to take part in the Victor Wembanyama draft lottery next week (May 16). But even without the big prize, the Magic may no longer have a spot for Isaac.
