Magic shooting guard  Gary Harris Jr. appears likely to play in Friday’s road game vs. the Bulls after taking part in shootaround, coach Jamahl Mosley indicated, via Khobi Price of the Orlando Sentinel.

If so, it will mark Harris’ season debut after suffering a left knee meniscus injury and undergoing a arthroscopic procedure in the fall.

He indicated earlier in the week that he felt his return was just a matter of days away.

“I’m moving around a little bit right now,” Harris said, via Price. “I’m really trying to get my timing back. Get back in basketball shape. I’m testing stuff out each day. I get more comfortable around the court.”

Harris, 27, is 6-foot-4 and averaged 11.1 points on 43 percent shooting, appearing in 61 games in 2021-22, his first full season in Orlando.

The Magic have been hit hard by injuries, particularly in the backcourt, with Cole AnthonyJalen Suggs and Markelle Fultz  all missing at least part of the early season.

Meanwhile, No. 1 overall pick and power forward Paolo Banchero remains out, while center Wendell Carter Jr. should also return Friday, Price reported.
