Magic's Jalen Suggs out for remainder of Summer League with thumb injury

Orlando Magic rookie guard Jalen Suggs, the fifth overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft, suffered a left thumb injury during Thursday’s loss to the Boston Celtics in Summer League action.

The Magic confirmed Friday that Suggs won't take the court again in Las Vegas:

Suggs went viral earlier this week when he produced arguably the summer's top dunk against the Cleveland Cavaliers:

Per Josh Robbins of The Athletic, Suggs averaged 15.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists across three games before his setback.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Houston Rockets rookie and No. 2 overall draft selection Jalen Green will likely miss the rest of the Summer League because of right hamstring soreness.
