On Thursday, the Mavericks flex-assigned Tyrell Terry to the Memphis Hustle. On Tuesday, the Mavericks transferred two-way rookies Tyler Bey and Nate Hinton to the Long Island Nets.

The Texas Legends opted out of participating in the G-League season and traveling to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, where the NBA bubble was held last season to finish the regular season and postseason.

Though the Texas Legends won’t be partaking in the G-League season, teams not participating in Orlando are allowed to transfer roster players or two-way players to teams that are playing.

Terry has seen action in 11 games this season. Bey has played 13 minutes in four appearances. Hinton has seen 19 minutes in six games.

This move comes to no surprise due to the lack of playing time for all three rookies as you could almost guarantee that Terry, Bey, and Hinton would’ve already seen time with the Legends if there was a typical G-League schedule.

These transfers provide a great opportunity for all three players to get substantial playing time and experience in the G.
