Dallas Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic is facing a one-game suspension after being assessed his 16th technical foul of the season during Sunday afternoon's game against the host Charlotte Hornets.

Doncic, 24, received a technical foul with 7:51 remaining in the third quarter for arguing with the official following a missed shot on a drive to the basket. The four-time All-Star will serve his suspension in Monday's game against the host Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis unless the NBA rescinds the technical.

The suspension would be the first in the NBA career of Doncic.

Doncic would be the third player this season to serve a one-game suspension for technical fouls, joining Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks (twice) and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.
