The Mavericks have been aggressive this summer, having worked out a three-team trade for Celtics forward Grant Williams and signing Trail Blazers restricted free agent guard Matisse Thybulle to an offer sheet.

Before that, they agreed to a contract with Nets free agent guard Seth Curry, who is returning for another run in Dallas.

Oh, and let’s not forget, they re-signed star guard Kyrie Irving to tip off the NBA’s silly season. So it’s pretty evident that GM Nico Harrison is looking to reshape the roster after missing the playoffs last season.

Along with all of the above, the Mavs are reportedly looking to move center JaVale McGee, as well as guard/forward Tim Hardaway Jr., as relayed by Michael Mulford of SI.com.

Hardaway, 30, still has two years and more than $33 million left on his deal, so trading him could be complicated. The hope likely is that the Mavs can pair him with McGee and a pick (or picks) to find a starting-caliber center. That’s speculation, but it’s no secret that the Mavs want help up front after opting not to bring back big man Christian Wood.

For the record, the Blazers are expected to match the offer for Thybulle, giving Dallas a little more maneuverability.

Anyway, trading Hardaway is something the Mavs have been exploring since February, per reports. But from the sounds of things, they are more determined than ever at the moment.

Hardaway averaged 14.4 points in 71 games last season, shooting 40 percent from the field and 39 percent on 3-pointers. His accuracy on threes is fairly impressive, given that’s just about all he shoots.
