Trail Blazers free agent guard Matisse Thybulle is signing an offer sheet from the Mavericks, per Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report/TNT.

The Blazers will have the opportunity to match the offer, given that Thybulle is a restricted free agent.

Thybulle, 26, was acquired by the Blazers from the 76ers in February as part of a four-team trade that also involved the Knicks and Hornets. He appeared in 22 games for the Blazers and averaged a career-high 7.4 points.

Mostly, he is known as being a top-notch perimeter defender and if the Mavs are able to retain him, could offer that skill alongside star guards Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

That said, there’s a sense that Portland will match the offer and retain Thybulle as they focus on trades centered on star guard Damian Lillard.

Hoops Wire will have more on Thybulle as the news becomes available.
