The Miami Heat have had an up-and-down season and are currently the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-27 record in 59 games.

That said, they have been to the Eastern Conference Finals in two out of the last three seasons, so the Heat are a team no one will want to face in the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Right now, they rank 25th in the league for rebounds per game (49.2), and there are still plenty of viable centers available to be signed.

On Friday, Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype reported that the Heat recently brought former fourth-overall pick Cody Zeller in for a workout.

Via Scotto's article on Hoops Hype: "Furthermore, Miami recently brought in veteran center Cody Zeller for a workout, league sources told HoopsHype."

Zeller has not appeared in a game this year, but he played 27 games with the Portland Trail Blazers during the 2021-22 season and averaged 5.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest.

Before the Trail Blazers, the former Indiana Hoosier spent the first eight seasons of his career on the Charlotte Hornets.

The best year of his career came in 2020 when he averaged 11.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest in 58 games.

Potentially adding the 31-year-old could help the depth on their bench and move them higher in total rebounds per game.

The Heat will play their first game after the All-Star break on February 24, when they visit Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin.
