There is life in the Miami Heat . Just when many thought that the Heat were going to be just mere first-round sacrificial lambs for the powerhouse Boston Celtics, Tyler Herro and company gave the Eastern Conference’s top seed a reality check, as they came away with a 111-10 win on the road in Game 2 on Wednesday night.

Herro was instrumental in the Heat’s win, as he rebounded from a lackluster performance in the series-opening 114-94 loss to the Celtics with a huge showing in Game 2.

Tyler Herro Makes Miami Heat History With Awesome Game 2 Performance

Herro led by example in Game 2, as he finished with 24 points on 7/13 shooting from the field with six 3-pointers, 14 dimes, and five assists in 39 total minutes of floor duty. He also became the first player in franchise history to get these numbers in a playoff game (via StatMuse):

The first player in Miami history with

10+ assists
5+ threes

in a playoff game.

Herro and the Heat surely aren’t content with the fact that no matter what happens the rest of the way, there won’t be a sweep happening in this series. Miami is in it to win it, and the Heat had just landed a haymaker on the series favorite Boston. The Heat can shock more people in Game 3 when they host Jayson Tatum and company in South Beach on Saturday.
