Mike Conley hopes to stay with Jazz

Mike Conley is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season, but the veteran point guard is perfectly content to stay in Utah. He told The Athletic's Tony Jones that he hopes to stick with the Jazz for the foreseeable future.

"Utah’s got me," Conley said. "I was talking about this to my wife recently. We love it here."

This is Conley's second season with the Jazz, heading to Utah in a trade from the Grizzlies after spending the first 12 seasons of his career in Memphis. His first season with Utah was a bit bumpy, with Conley posting some of the lowest numbers of his career and struggling to mesh with his new team.

However, in his second year, the entire team seems to be clicking. The Jazz currently hold the best record in the league and look ready to contend for a title. Conley has established himself as an invaluable part of Utah's success, averaging 16.4 points and 5.6 assists per game while shooting over 41% on nearly seven three-point attempts per game.

Conley is 33 so he could come back to the Jazz on a slightly cheaper deal that would allow him to finish his career in Utah. From the sound of it, Conley is willing to do what it takes to extend the partnership.
